The rumoured Nikon D5100 upper-entry-level DSLR has finally been announced. So far, features that stand out to me include:
- Identical 16.2 megapixel CMOS sensor as the D7000’s
- 1080p video recording at 24 or 30 fps
- Swivel 921k dot LCD
- Ability to merge HDR images in-camera
- Sensitivity of up to 102,400 ISO

Also announced with the D5100 is the ME-1 mic which should allow for audio recording without the recording the sound of the AF motors whirring away.
