Thom’s added two more lens reviews, this time they’re less exotic and more within the reach of people like myself. They are the Nikkor AF-S 50mm ƒ/1.8G and the Nikkor AF-S 55-300mm ƒ/3.5-5.6G DX ED VR.
Thom didn’t think there was much difference between the 50mm ƒ/1.8G and the 50mm ƒ/1.4G. A friend of mine has the ƒ/1.4G and I wasn’t too impressed with the focusing, considering it was supposed to come with AF-S. Its performance wasn’t even comparable to my 18-70mm ƒ/3.5-4.5. The 55-300mm is abit of a weird lens sitting in between the 55-200mm and the 70-300mm. Hit the links below to see what Thom said about both lenses.
