When I first started photography, I didn’t give much thought to cleaning, let alone maintaining the equipment. But I realised soon enough, when I got my first smudge on the front element of my lens, cleaning and by extension, maintaining your equipment is important.

My wife and I visited Nilai Memorial Park to pay our respects to her father ahead of the Qingming festival. Although commercialised, the memorial park is a far cry from traditional Chinese burial grounds most of us in Malaysia are used to. It is clean, organised and peaceful.
